James Gnanapragasam James Gnanapragasam

James is a senior paediatric cardiologist with over 20 years of experience. He is the paediatric cardiology training lead for the region and has a wealth of both clinical and educational experience. His subspecialty interests include rhythm management, ultrasound physics, fetal and trans-oesophageal echocardiography.

Debbie Dashwood Debbie Dashwood

Debbie is the British Heart Foundation echo trainer for paediatric echocardiography at Southampton General Hospital and has extensive experience both in paediatric echocardiography and education. Her research interests include 3D echocardiography and functional assessment in non-cardiac disease states. She holds European Society of Cardiology accreditation in congenital heart disease.

Anne Banning

Anne has many years of echocardiography experience, working initially with adults before specialising into paediatric and adult congenital cardiology. She has trained an enormous number of registrars and sonographers in the past and taught on echocardiography courses in other institutions. Anne carries both European Congenital and British Society of Echocardiography accreditations.

Andrew Ho Andrew Ho

Andy is a paediatric cardiology registrar at Southampton. He is an experienced paediatric echocardiographer with previous educational experience including the development of training programmes for paediatric trainees. Andy holds AEPC/EACVI accreditation in congenital echocardiography.

Madhu Gangadhara

Madhu completed CCT in paediatrics with the Oxford Deanery before starting paediatric cardiology training. He has over four years of echocardiography experience.

Norah Yap

Norah completed medical training in Manchester and trained in Paediatrics in the Eastern deanery before moving onto paediatric cardiology training. She has been scanning for several years.
